February 2003 - Sam Bova founded the location of what today has become known as a very popular Eastwood Village Superfresh. Previously a run down fruit shop that had existed within the community for over 30 years, Sam, with his partners son Joe Bova and nephew Joe Coluccio, sat together and envisioned restoring this old fruit shop into a successful medium sized family business.
Backed up by 3 generations of fruiterers, their combined passion and over 30 years of knowledge and experience in the trade, their goal was to provide the community with the freshest and largest variety of fruit and vegetables at an affordable price.
After acquiring the business they closed the doors to undertake a much needed clean up and renovation and within three weeks they opened their doors on the 9th of April 2003 with 4 cashiers and 5 shop assistants. With the combined efforts of the three partners and their families, they endeavoured to achieve their goals.
